Natural Makeup Done The Right Way

Updated: Jan 27, 2020

As someone who has always been into healthy foods and a healthy lifestyle, I paid little attention to what I was putting on my skin for years. I tried many brands of makeup from Covergirl to Benefit to Lancôme. I was carelessly buying any kind of makeup thinking it wasn't "that bad" for my skin. As I grew older, I kept hearing about the concerns of the products people freely put on their face and body.

Shockingly, there aren't really any federal regulations on makeup in the U.S.

Studies show that 80% of ingredients have never been tested for safety in personal care products. Did you know that those who use make-up on a daily basis are absorbing almost 5 pounds a year into their bodies? Yikes! If that doesn't make you want to put a good quality makeup on, what will?

I finally made the decision to switch to all natural. But how? I was NOT going to settle for those NATURAL brands that just DO NOT WORK. I was on the hunt for products that didn't contain any harmful ingredients, but also looked flawless on. It wasn't as easy as it should be.

After testing many brands, I stumbled upon Lily Lolo -- An all natural brand out of the United Kingdom. I ordered the products that are the hardest for me to find that would actually past my test -- mascara and foundation. When they arrived, I tried the products for a few days, and yes, I finally found a brand that could replace my other toxic products. But, then I became curious and wondered if all their products would hold up to the these standards. Of course, like any curious girl would do, I ordered more. And still LOVED the look.

I was a little scared about trying a mineral makeup line since it wasn't what I was used to, but I was blown away by how it looks more natural on. I will never go back.
